Cars of Lisbon, Portugal '25

Updated: Jan 10

Greetings! Figured I'd clean up all the cobwebs and dust from the blog, which I have neglected for a couple years now. By the way, for those that don't know who I am, my name is Jose AKA Jay. Welcome! Before I proceed, Happy New Years. For 2026, one of my goals is to keep up with Vintage Appeal. A passion project that I began almost 10 years ago, focusing on the automotive car culture around the world, along with other cool things. I know some folks think I am crazy for doing a blog in 2026. During an era where the attention span is literally none existent (I know, because I am one of those who suffer from bad attention spans), and where everything is mainly videos. Seems like photography, along with writing is dying "within the masses". However, for me, I am ok with all that. I am sure there's a handful of folks out there who enjoy a good read about cool adventures revolving cars, along with some nice photos. If that resonates with you, welcome!

Last year I took a brief trip to Portugal. Have you been? No? I HIGHLY recommend you do. Unfortunately, I didn't take my camera, because I really wasn't planning on doing anything car related. It was more to spend time with family, and actually be present. A part of me regrets not taking my camera though, as I saw quite a few cool cars during my visit. Something about cool classic cars near cool architecture that hits different. Enjoy some of the photos I took with my old iPhone camera. This year, my camera won't leave my side. That's a promise ✌🏼

Porsche 911 RS look book with a view in Portugal.

Shout out to my parents for gifting me this book while we were out in a book fair. For those that don't know, my dream car is a 991.2 GT3RS. Obsessed is an understatement!

Classic Citroen in a small alley in Portugal.

This was taken in a City called Agueda. One of the many reasons I love Portugal is because it's so aesthetically pleasing. Every corner you'd catch me taking a photo, like in this alley.

Do not quote me on this, but I think this is a Citroën. Such a cool little car sitting outside a restaurant in Lisbon.

Honda Civic Type R FK8 in Portugal.

This was the first and only Honda Civic Type R I saw. This one was a treat to see, as obviously it's the EURO version. Didn't know they came with the headlight washer. Might have to see if I can source one for my Type R 🙃

Rare Mercedes Benz C Class in Portugal

I am not a Mercedes Benz Connoisseur. However, I do think this is a rare color on the C-Class. At least not commonly seen in the States.

This was my first time seeing a Lada in person. Such a cool car, and it's 4x4!

This was taken in a City called Espinho. Imagine taking this thing to the beach. So cool!

I have no idea what car/truck this is. However, I want one! Imagine how cool it would be to convert it into a mobile coffee car!

Classic Toyota Land Cruiser on a beautiful Portugal day.

Of course, you can not go wrong with a classic Land Cruiser. If I lived in Portugal, I'd have one in the garage. Great cruiser (No pun-intended), plus pull up to a beach and vibe out!

Of course, when in Portugal, coffee is essential and everywhere. I am not talking about crap coffee neither. I am talking about really good coffee, and at a great price too.

The next couple of photos were taken during my first trip to Portugal a couple years ago. That time I actually had my camera. Figured I'd sneak some photos of that trip here. Enjoy!

BMW E30 driving through Nazare Portugal.

This was one clean BMW E30 that pulled up to Nazare. Home of one of the biggest waves in the world.

Classic Bmw E30 with Mtech 2 rear bumper.

The Mtech 2 rear spoiler has always been one of my favorite on the E30's.

Magazine quality photograph of a Porsche Panamera in Portugal.

I remember when I took this shot of the Panamera. It was damn near perfect timing. Glad it came out decent.

Repsol gas station. Pretty cool, as we don't have these in the States. Every time I hear the name Repsol my mind automatically associate it with the Fireblade Honda CBR1000RR (pictured below)
