Premier Porsche Aircooled Gathering Luftgekuhlt 9: San Francisco

Greetings! Luft 9, premier Porsche aircooled gathering was about two years ago. This post is better late than never, am I right? First things first, for those wondering what the heck is Luftgekuhlt, it's basically German for "Air-cooled". This is one of the biggest gathering of curated Porsche Air cooled vehicles in the country, dare I say world. If you're a Porsche fan, it is a MUST that you attend at least one of these. Every year the event is held in a different location, mainly historic. I am hearing this year they are hosting it in Tokyo, how cool is that! Should I make the trek from Long Island? Let's see! Anyways, Luftgekuhlt part 9 was held in San Francisco in a location where ships were built back in the day, making for awesome aesthetics. I have a ton of photos to share, so this will be a 2 part post. Nevertheless, enough yapping, on to the photos!

I had a media pass, so I was able to get there early and see the cars setting up. Nothing like air cool sound nice and early!

Have I mentioned, how perfect this venue was? The gloomy weather, along with structures around these classic cars, gave such a cool vibe.

I remember when 911T's were cheap. Now? Good luck. And in this condition? Your 401k has to be deep.

This 911 was hiding in between these gigantic structure. Perfect for us photographers to get creative.

993 GT2. The amount of insane aircooled Porsche in this event was wild. Seems like every year it gets more and more crazier.

Of course it wouldn't be a Porsche Aircooled event in California without Emory Motorsports making an appearance.
